Nesrin Özyaycı (1955-...)

Born in Gaziantep. Graduated from Hacettepe University, the Department
of English Philology. She worked as a lecturer in Middle East
Technical University, and continued her education in England with METU
scholarship.

After the Institution of Higher Education was founded, she resigned
from her job in METU. She's now continuing to be a businesswoman in
Gaziantep as the manager, teacher and the administrator of BIEM
Courses (Computing&English Education Center). She has received
invitations and scholarships from abroad, but she was not able to
attend due to various reasons.

Her published books are "Işık" (poetry), "Kanka" (reminiscence),
"Alleben'de Boğulmak" (story) and "Işık II" (poetry). In October 2006,
her biography and her story "Kuşlar" were published in Encyclopedia of
Turkish People of Literature, Culture and Science.

Her writings, her critics about her writings; her poems, essays and
stories dealing with socio-cultural changes of society are still being
published in local, national and universal literature magazines,
anthologies and newspapers. She's got two daughters.
